Thinking about dropping in for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games? Or perhaps a trip to the City of Lights once it’s a little quieter? Then you’ll be pleased to learn that All Nippon Airways (ANA) is currently slinging return Business Class flights from Sydney to Paris via Tokyo for a reasonable $6,044.

The majority of the dates range from this coming July to late August with a handful of discounted seats from mid-February 2025 to the following March. For reference: the forthcoming Paris Olympics are scheduled to kick off on July 26th and wrap up on August 11th.

These fares come with a free baggage allowance of two 32-kilo checked bags, though as usual, neither changes, refunds, nor upgrades to First Class are permitted.

Points and status credits, on the other hand, can be funnelled to either Virgin Velocity or an equivalent Star Alliance carrier’s loyalty program (e.g. KrisFlyer).

Side Note: the points fliers will rack up from this jaunt to Europe will essentially be enough to leapfrog from Velocity Red to Velocity Gold.

ANA’s Boeing 787-9 Business Class offering for this route — while not exactly groundbreaking like their ‘Room’ product aboard the 777 — has a reputation for a cracking on-board food and beverage menu (you have a choice between Japanese or International); plus excellent service, which is to be expected from a Japanese carrier.
