- The Ennismore hospitality group is set to open the doors of its first Mondrian Hotel in Australia, located on the Gold Coast’s iconic Burleigh Heads beachfront.
- The 24-level property is currently under construction and will contain 208 studios, suites, and homes, as well as a cafe, restaurant, wellness space, and more.
- Designed by Australian architects Fraser & Partners alongside the interiors team at Studio Carter, the Mondrian Hotel on the Gold Coast will open sometime in 2025.
To say the team behind the Mondrian Hotel brand has been busy in recent years would be an understatement, with the group opening four new properties last year and another two in 2024. They aren’t slowing down, however, pledging eight more in 2025 and beyond; with one of those set to be the first Mondrian property in Australia, located on the Gold Coast.
Joining a stellar list of locations that already includes Ibiza, Cannes, and Mexico City Condesa, the Gold Coast edition of the Mondrian Hotel will add another jewel to the city’s trove of luxury accommodation.
Despite originally being slated for a 2023 opening, the 24-level Fraser & Partners-designed property will contain a total of 208 studios, suites, and homes, including what promises to be a glorious penthouse.
In addition to private spaces, Mondrian Hotel on the Gold Coast also arrives with two restaurants & Bars. These eateries specialise in everything from “coastal Italian cuisine and surf-to-plate seafood to classic bites.” The other star attraction will be property’s spa, which will feature the full suite of wellness & beauty treatments.
“Australia has long been a strategic focus for Mondrian’s growth and the Gold Coast was a focal point thanks to its phenomenal natural setting, rich cultural landscape and vibrant social scene,” said Mondrian Hotels & Residences Brand COO Chadi Farhat.
“It felt a natural choice to bring Mondrian to the Gold Coast and we believe it will resonate strongly with the local market and lend something entirely new to the hospitality space.”
Further details — including the expected opening date — remain to be confirmed, but what is for sure is Australia’s first Mondrian Hotel will be a must-visit destination in 2025.
