Despite the fact that we’re not even through the first month of the new year, we at BH have already received a flurry of news across the editorial desk — from both big-name and boutique hotel brands, many of which are slated to open exciting new properties all around the world in the coming months.
From swish mountain retreats where guests can live out their wildest Yellowstone dreams, to a range of sophisticated stays throughout Europe and Asia, here are all the new hotels we’re most excited to see open in 2025.

Aman Nai Lert Bangkok
Pitched by fanatics as something of a homecoming for the world’s most famous minimalist luxury hotel brand, Aman Group hasn’t pursued a new project in Thailand since the opening of its iconic Amanpuri in 1988. But all that is about to change.
Located in the heart of Bangkok’s historical Nai Lert Park, this new hotel distinguishes itself from its distinguished sibling property in Phuket on the basis of its urbane trappings and downtown location.

Architect Jean-Michel Gathy, who has been a regular collaborator on Aman outposts (including in Venice and Beijing) has once again been tapped to oversee this property’s design.
True to form, well-heeled guests should expect a hotel where every individual has plentiful privacy — 52 suites will reportedly be built on-site — along with high-end Italian and Japanese dining options, and a suitably grandiose 1,500 sqm wellness hub.
Opening in late 2025.
Rosewood Amsterdam
Poised to commence taking bookings on June 1st, Rosewood Amsterdam is the first Dutch property from the eponymous Hong Kong-based chain of ultra-luxury hotels.
Inside the city’s former Palace of Justice, the property also happens to be located on a really choice stretch of the Prinsengracht (part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Canal District).

The hotel’s imposing 17th-century façade offers a striking contrast to the in-room experience, where homegrown design studio Piet Boon has honed in on a classic “Dutch canal house” look, enriched with soft tonal colours and ornate high ceilings.
This being a Rosewood property, you can expect the brand’s award-winning Asaya spa concept to make an appearance; along with three restaurants & bars, and — most interestingly — exclusive access to the hotel’s very own canal barge.
One&Only Moonlight Basin
Pitched as the ultimate mountain resort that is “always in season”, One&Only Moonlight Basin is nestled within the wider hospitality zone of Big Sky, Montana.
Arguably one of the most anticipated new hotel openings of 2025 (for those willing to spend big dollars on the great outdoors) there are activities all year round ranging from skiing and ice fishing to exploration of Montana’s pristine alpine meadows — on horseback, should you choose.
Set to open July 2025.
Experimental Chalet Val-d’Isère
The latest opening from Euro-focused hotelier Experimental Group is set high in the French Alps, in the historic town of Val-d’Isère: making it an inspired choice for travellers who are serious about their winter sports.
Aside from its enviable location at the foot of the Vanoise Massif (promising a day full of winter adventures) the hotel boasts 113 bedrooms and suites internally that pay tribute to the colours and textures of the surrounding Tarentaise region.
On the food front, expect a classic all-day brasserie and “farm to plate” eatery; as well as the 6th outpost of Experimental’s signature ‘Cocktail Club’ concept.
Bookings opened earlier this January and, by most accounts, are pitched at a surprisingly reasonable price point (compared to what you’ll find in neighbouring Val Thorens and Courchevel).
Six Senses London
Set within the historic, Grade II-listed Whiteleys building (formally home to London’s first department store) Six Senses London is an important opening for the eponymous eco-luxury outfit, owned by IHG.
The brand’s first hotel in the United Kingdom, it puts cutting-edge wellness at the heart of its dramatic Art-Deco space: with 110 rooms and 14 ‘residences’ for sleepers to choose from, in addition to a vaunted wellness spa anchored around a vast, 20-metre indoor pool.
The property also doubles as the launchpad for Six Senses Place: the brand’s own foray into the crowded and highly competitive world of private member’s clubs.
Set to open in early 2025.
Capella Osaka
Of all the new hotels opening in 2025, Capella’s arrival in the ancient Imperial capital of Kyoto is the one we’re personally the most excited about.
The Singapore-based hospitality firm, who are also behind what is currently the World’s #1 hotel, is making its much-anticipated Japanese debut with this property — smackdab in the middle of Miyagawa-chō, one of Kyoto’s most revered geisha districts.
In line with Capella’s signature MO, exclusivity is baked into the very fabric of the property: there are a mere 92 rooms on-site furnished with soothing textures and local Japanese artwork, all flowing into a bigger heritage space that has been masterfully restored by Kengo Kuma & Associates.
So far, Capella spokespeople have remained tightlipped on the property’s dining and wellness facilities; but fans of the brand can confidently assume the signature culturists and ‘living room’ concept will both make appearances.
