- With an established presence in Sydney’s Cabarita, GoBoat is now staking its claim in the North Shore with a Mosman outpost.
- The business has naturally been a hit, given the ability to self-captain without any boating licence; along with the freedom to bring both alcohol and pets.
- GoBoat officially sets sail from Mosman on April 9th.
Having soundly proven itself as a winning concept all along Australia’s East Coast (and over in Europe where it originally hails from), GoBoat is once again expanding – this time to Mosman, marking its second Sydney outpost after the original at Cabarita Point.
The Danish-born company famously introduced its maiden fleet of grog and dog-friendly electric hire boats to the Paramatta River back in 2021. Shaded picnic table and all.

Stylishly designed in the Scandinavian tradition with capacity for up to eight, unbelievably, the major draw isn’t the fact that you could cruise with man’s best friend while enjoying a bottle of sparkling or two and the almost-obligatory charcuterie board.
It’s that these 18-foot, speed-limited vessels don’t require any boating license, meaning they can be self-captained without any intrusive oversight. Just you and the fine company you keep, out on a leisurely day of breezy bliss.
The other bonus is that they house a whisper-quiet electric motor that promise zero operating emissions and zero waterway erosion. Coupled with the reclaimed timber and recycled PET bottles construction, and you have what is essentially a guilt-free and completely green indulgence.
How bloody good.
