Adrenaline junkies are always looking for new ways to scare the shit out of themselves and the Bun J Ride in the French Alps resort of Tignes might be just what the doctor ordered.
Located right near the Italian border, the Bun J Ride has fast become a staple for thrill seekers visiting the Tignes ski area since opening in 2014. Those that dare take the plunge can either ski, snowboard or sledge down the 30-metre length ramp attached to two bungee cords to keep you from flying off in all directions.
Once you hit the edge of the snow-covered ramp, some 40 metres above ground, you’ll be propelled almost 70 metres in the air before bouncing back and landing safely near the ramp.
It’ll set you back just over $100 Aussie dollars for the leap, which really isn’t all that expensive for a killer story and an epic ‘gram shot. Just don’t get too boozy at Folie Douce beforehand or things could get messy.
