Virgin Voyages, another in a slew of genius Richard Branson ideas, has just become more appealing with the reveal of its ‘Rockstar Suites’ – first-class rooms aboard what so far looks to be one of the most enjoyable experiences holiday-goers can have at sea.
With a recent swing in focus from onboard activities to indoor relaxation in the cruise ship industry, its no wonder Virgin is looking to up their luxury game with the Rockstar Suites. 78 rooms onboard will be of this calibre, all of which have been designed by Tom Dixon.
Having the best view out of all the cabins comes standards with the Rockstar Suites, and the advantages certainly don’t end there. Although the suites range in price and opulence, some of the common attributes include a veranda, a personal wardrobe team, and a ‘Rockstar Coordinator’ – Virgin’s terminology for a personal assistant.
Even though guests will be allowed early daily access to the likes of onboard restaurants and entertainment, they will also be given exclusive access to the aptly-named ‘Richard’s Rooftop’ – a private member’s club. The most lux of these suites will include hot tubs, built-in stairs, and a nautically-fashionable catamaran net. And as you can see from these mood-setting pictures, the emphasis is clearly on fun.
The overall theme of the trip is a throwback to the glory days of rock ‘n’ roll and the time when mega yachts were all the buzz. The first voyage will set off from Miami early next year, after the boats’ completion at shipyards in Genoa, Italy.
