It was a news story that shook the world; the November 2015 Paris terrorist attack at Le Bataclan concert theatre. The attack occurred during the performance of popular Californian rock band Eagles of Death Metal, and resulted in the deaths of 89 people, with an additional 99 critically injured.
The attack on the Bataclan was one of a series of attacks carried across Paris that Friday, all having been claimed by terrorist group ISIS.
This clip is the first release of the documentary covering the concert massacre and is told through the eyes of Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, with additional interviews from Bono. The doco is directed by Tom Hanks’ son, Colin Hanks, and details the lead up to the event, the tragedy inside and their plan to return to Paris with U2.
The documentary is set to air on 31 February on HBO.
