In case you missed it, this might be some of the best news you’ve ever heard come out of Hollywood. Major details of Quentin Tarantino’s new flick have been confirmed by Sony, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt locked down as co-starring in the all-time director’s upcoming project ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.’
DiCaprio and Pitt’s iconic portrayals of uniquely sensationalised characters in both Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds respectively are now hyped precursors for what can be expected as some incredible side-by-side performances.
The duo will follow the story of ex-Western star Rick Dalton and his career stunt double Cliff Booth, set in 1969 during a new age in Hollywood.
“I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was seven years old,” Tarantino said. “I’m very excited to tell this story of an L.A. and a Hollywood that don’t exist anymore. And I couldn’t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio & Pitt as Rick & Cliff.”
Speculation has been rife about the film’s plotline for months, with initial rumours pointing towards the Manson Family murders as the centrepiece of the flick. What is known is that Sharon Tate, the most famous of the cult’s victims, will feature prominently hinting at a strong subplot underscoring Pitt and DiCaprio’s performances.
