He didn’t exactly need an introduction before, but Scottie Pippen certainly doesn’t need one now post-The Last Dance. The Scottie Pippen mansion located in Chicago, however, is probably something the public is less well-acquainted with. Hence the following guided walkthrough with Architectural Digest.
Purchased around the time of his retirement from professional basketball in 2004, the six-time NBA championship winner, two-time Olympic Gold medallist, and former Chicago Bull apparently spends most of his time in Los Angeles these days. But this Chicago mansion serves as something of a “vacation house” when he feels the need to break away.
Despite being his non-primary residence, the Scottie Pippen mansion comes with everything you’d expect from a place required to host Pippen himself. NBA memorabilia and awards galore, indoor basketball court, gym + sauna, putting green for a bit of light practice – “If you’re wondering if I played with Michael [Jordan], yes, I played with him… No, I haven’t beaten him. His stakes are a little too high for me.”; as well as the usual mansion fixtures such as a pool, movie theatre, wine cellar, and tasteful decor.
While you’re at it, be sure to check out Michael Jordan’s US$15 million Chicago mansion which has remained unsold since listing back in 2012.
