Marshall has added to its lineup of iconic speakers with the all-new Middleton Bluetooth speaker, which makes a compelling case for itself boasting a weatherproof build and 360-degree sound and Stack Mode that allows you to play the same music out of multiple speakers. Produced under license by Swedish Zound Industries, the Middleton joins the Marshall range alongside the popular Marshall Kilburn II as a speaker unit that looks as good as the sound it produces.
The Marshall Middleton Bluetooth speaker features a quad-speaker set-up of two 20-watt Class D and another two 10-watt Class D amplifiers which power the active drivers, allowing sound to emit from all four sides of the unit. There are buttons on the top of the unit to control what you’re listening to, including the volume, bass and treble levels as well as being able to move backward and forward through the album or playlist you’re enjoying.
Stack Mode might be the icing on the cake, however, as a system that allows the same song to be played through multiple speakers, either to up the volume or to create a stereo effect by having different speakers placed around the room. Impervious to dust and capable of being submerged in 1m of water for half an hour, its battery can last up to 20 hours of playtime between charges.
