Less than two years since its launch, the Aston Martin DB11 featuring the 447kW 5.2-litre twin-turbo has been discontinued, replaced by the more powerful Aston Martin DB11 AMR (470kW) and the convertible Aston Martin DB11 Volante, hosting AMG’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8.

We copped the half a million dollar convertible for a scrummy 24 hours in the sun and used it to kick off our new video series ‘Lunch Run’, where we talk cars, food and a healthy serving of smack.

In Episode 1, we sample the spritely 375kW Volante en route to Watsons Bay for a spot of fish and chips at Doyles Fisherman Wharf.
