It’s been 46 years since the last manned mission to the Moon. Across the three years following Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s first steps, only twelve individuals were privileged to set foot on the surface.
Now, almost half a century on, NASA has announced its commitment to return with an inspirational hype reel of what humankind has achieved in space thus far. A product of Space Policy Directive-1, issued by President Trump last year, the agency also confirms its intent on extending this foresight to Mars.
Actor Mike Rowe, who narrated NASA’s clip, quotes “It’s time we take the next great leap. We’re building the next chapter of American exploration, returning to the moon, to stay, so we can go beyond, to Mars.”
