As the saying goes, abs are made in the gym and in the kitchen. A statement which gains more and more backing when considering the damn near aggressive rig of one Cristiano Ronaldo. Yes โ€“ aggressive. I know what I said.

The 34-year-old Juventus forward keeps it high and tight with his diet. Chowing down on up to six meals at any given day to accommodate for his athleteโ€™s metabolism, there certainly isnโ€™t any room for your stray Woolies chicken fingers or 3 AM Jalapeno Cheetos here.

Here is generally what can be found in Cristiano Ronaldoโ€™s daily menu.

Breakfast

  • Ham & cheese
  • Egg whites
  • Wholewheat/wholegrain cereals
  • Low-fat yoghurt
  • Fresh fruit juice

[Nap โ€“ 1 of 4 for the day.]

Lunch

  • Tuna/chicken with salad
  • Eggs & olives
  • Baked potato
  • Wholewheat pasta

[Nap โ€“ 2 of 4 for the day.]

Snack

  • Fruit, lemons (I donโ€™t know why either)
  • Tuna rolls

[Nap โ€“ 3 of 4 for the day โ€” this is the additional nap after working out/training.]

Dinner

  • Chicken/turkey/steak/swordfish/tuna
  • Also partial to the following favourites:
Bacalhau ร  Brรกs (braised cod with onions, โ€œthinly sliced potatoes, & scrambled eggs)
Espetada Madeirense (beef skewers with fried cornmeal โ€” a speciality in Ronaldoโ€™s home town of Madeira)
English risotto with arborio rice and funghi
  • Vegetable soups
  • Salad
  • Rice
  • Port wine (preferably from Douro Valley in Porto)

[Nap โ€“ 4 of 4 for the day โ€” before his nightly activities and then a sincere effort of sleeping for some eight hours.]

Couldnโ€™t be me, man. Couldnโ€™t be me.
